Does the spirit of the Christmas season carry past December 25th? Many of us find can find ourselves in the post-holiday doldrums beginning this week.
How do we carry the themes of the Advent season – hope, peace, joy, love – with us past Christmas? Consider the following words from C.S. Lewis:
“Do not waste time bothering whether you ‘love’ your neighbor; act as if you did. As soon as we do this we find one of the great secrets. When you are behaving as if you loved someone you will presently come to love him.”
You are loved. So go out today and act as if you love someone else. Carry Christ-mas with you. And in doing so, you will fall more in love with both Christ and others.
